Pakistan Press Club UK Elections to be held on 29th Jan in London

London: The last meeting of the executive council of the Pakistan Press Club before new elections was held online to finalise the election process. Date of the election process was announced in the annual meeting of Club last week. Secretary Arshad Rachiyal and Manchester Branch President Majid Nazir had already excused due to their engagements in Pakistan.

Among the members who attended this meeting were Club President Mobeen Chaudhry, Senior Vice President Shiraz Khan, Joint Secretary Mussarat Iqbal, Information Secretary Nadia Raja, Finance Secretary Rafiq Mughal, Members Central Governing Body Adeel Khan, Imran Zahoor Raja, Farhat Kazmi, Israr Raja, Yorkshire Branch President Zahid Noor, Sheffield Branch President Shafqat Mirza, Luton Branch President Israr Khan and Midlands Branch President Rabnawaz Chughtai.
After a detailed discussion on different issues, it was unanimously decided that nomination papers will be submitted until 8th January and the first list of candidates will be published on 9th January. It was also decided that very member would get nomination paper and members list by sending email to ppcuk.org@gmail.com. 
The last date for withdrawing the papers will be 10 January at 12 pm. Preliminary list of candidates will be displayed on 12th. While the final date for withdrawing the nomination papers will be January 13. The final list of candidates will be displayed on January 15.
It was also decided that if a member is outside the country, he may get the facility of postal vote by showing ticket and boarding pass to Election Commissioner. Mr Nahid Randhawa will be the Chief Election Commissioner this year. Barrister Zeshan Mian and Javed Sheikh will be the members of election commission.
