London: Former President of Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari, along with ARY showbiz reporter Naeem Hanif were both invited to the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Mayor of Waltham Forest, Saima Mahmood presented the former President Arshad Ansari and Mr Naeem Hanif with souvenirs in recognition of their services to journalism. Senior Vice President Pakistan Press Club UK Mobeen Chaudhry and Secretary General Azher also paid tribute to their hard work. A number of community leaders including Councillor Ahsan Raja, Raja Allah Ditta, Councillor Raja Anwer, Tahir Gujjar and others also attended the event. Guests were given statistical data on Waltham Forest, that they now represented 12 out of 60 councillors, more than 50,000 Muslims are resident in the area, around a dozen large mosques serve the Muslim population, alongside 3 white MP’s and a Muslim Mayor. Waltham Forest has the fifth largest Muslim population in England and the third largest in London (coming after its neighbouring boroughs, Newham and Tower Hamlets).
