Oath Taking Ceremony and Media Conference 2019 announced by PPCUK

Manchester: Pakistan Press Club UK has been struggling for the betterment and recognition of its fellow journalists in the UK. There are several journalist organizations who are based within the sector, but they are either situated around newspapers or working as whatsapp groups only. Professional journalists try to avoid joining these organizations but they are happy to join Press Club to continue their social, cultural and professional activities.

Speakers at the meeting held by Pakistan Press Club UK Manchester branch expressed these views. Pakistan Press Club UK PPCUK, president Mobeen Chaudhry was the chief guest. He said that hard work and sincerity always paved the way for growth and sustainability. We have formed a platform of PPCUK who have been struggling for the rights of British Pakistani journalists for last ten years.

This is our hard work which has bonded us with four major press clubs of Pakistan. All our members are the associate members of National Press Club Islamabad, Lahore Press Club, Karachi Press Club and Kashmir Press Club Mirpur or vice versa. He announced that the Oath taking ceremony and Media conference this year will be held in April. Invitations to renowned journalists had already been sent in Pakistan.

He informed the audience that PPCUK will soon be affiliated with Quetta and Peshawar Press Clubs. We have developed a mechanism by which the office bearers of all affiliated Press Clubs are invited to our major events.

Former President PPCUK Arshad Rachyal focused on the North West branches activities of the Press Clubs. He proudly announced that their are more than a dozen print media journalists who have been trained for electronic media within a span of one year.

President Pakistan Press Club Manchester branch Mohammad Ishaq Chaudhry thanked the guests for their precious time. He announced Mr Mussarat Chaudhry as Chairman Friends of Press Club Manchester Branch. Mussarat Chaudhry is a known businessman and active community leader who happily consented to the proposal.

Members of the press club asked varying questions from the chief guest. Members who attended this meeting were Akram Abid, Majid Nazir, Zahid Noor, Mussarat Iqbal, Fiaz Bashir, Zulfiqar Qari, Tariq Lodhi, Farhat Abbas Kazmi, tzaz Ahsan, Mian Amir, Waseem Chaudhary, Zeeshan Ahmed, Hassan Tahir, Mustafa Mughal and others.
