London: Executive Council of Pakistan Press Club UK has announced the schedule of Annual Elections of Pakistan Press Club UK for the year 2018-19.
Meeting was chaired by President Arshad Rachyal while Mussarat Iqbal being Acting General Secretary conducted the proceedings.
This was the first time that this meeting was held virtually with the consent of all EC Members.
Following Decision were made in this meeting:
Elections will be held on 9th December 1028 at Pakistan Centre Willesden Green. Polling time will be 3pm to 6pm.
Results will be announced at 7pm.
There will be a Media Conference after the results. Journalists from Pakistan and UK will shed the light on issues of overseas journalists and their solutions.
Nominations papers will be distributed and returned after filling from 28th to 30th December.
Initial List will be issued on 1st December, candidates could withdraw their respective papers until 2nd Dec and the final list of candidates will be issued on 3rd December.
Executive Council unanimously appointed Nahid Randhawa as Chief Election Commissioner while Barrister Sibghat Ullah Qadri and Tariq dar will assist him as Members of Election Commission.
Those EC Members who attended this meeting were Arshad Rachyal, Akram Abid, Zahid Noor, Mussarat Iqbal,Kishwer Abbasi, A Haq, Adeel Khan, Mona Khan, Ishaq Chaudhry, Shakeel ANjum Rajput and Mobeen Chaudhry.
