High Wycombe: Life is useless without any objective. If explore pear of our Selfhood it is the real success for a man. Knowledge and competence takes a nation to the heights of dignity, said Justice (R) Nasira Javed Iqbal, a renowned personality of Pakistan and the daughter-in-law of Poet of the East Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal, while explaining and interpreting the message of Iqbal’s poetry to the prominent personalities of High Wycombe.
She was specially invited by Pakistan Press Club UK and the function organized by community’s well-known young personality Naeem Tahir to honour the newly-appointed office-bearers of Pakistan Press Club UK for which Barrister Huma Price played a key role. President of the Press Club Mobeen Chaudhry attended the function along with his team members, besides former president Fayaz Ghafoor and Friends of Pakistan Press Club Chairman Naheed Randhawa.
In her addressing Begum Nasira Iqbal said that she, her husband Javed Iqbal and her sister Muneeza Begum had to face testing period of orphanage when they were quite young. However, they adopted themselves according to the sayings of their late father and always kept their Selfhood at high esteem.
She said she was grateful to God over the respect she got throughout the world being a member of Dr Allama Iqbal’s family. Regarding people affiliated with journalist in Pakistan, she said they were upholding the sanctity of their profession despite all threats. She is at present Pakistan is considered as most dangerous country for the journalists. She was of the view that journalists should report the news in a positive and constructive way. To a question, she said Pakistan was making improvement gradually. She also pointed out the law passed by Punjab Assembly regarding rights of women and said it was a positive development. She added that statistics showed women in rural areas were being subjected to domestic violence.
President Pakistan Press Club UK Mobeen Chaudhry in his address especially mentioned the respect and dignity of a teacher and added that the high place they were enjoying today was due to the teachers like Begum Nasira Javed Iqbal who not only decorated them with worldly knowledge but also taught them how to proceed forward in a dignified way. He said Begum Nasira Iqbal was an ideal personality. She was not only a good teacher and judge but also remained a very good daughter-in-law, mother and wife. She enhanced the dignity of Pakistani women. He said revered justice perform every duty according to its merit. He claimed that treading on the same path, he learnt to face and tackle every hardship of life. Introducing Press Club he said the organization was formed in 2009 and it had introduced at least 200 people in journalism from different cities of Britain.
Chairman Friends of Pakistan Press Club UK Naheed Randhawa said he will always remember the privilege he had while sitting with a family member of Allama Iqbal. He congratulated the Press Club UK for organization such a successful function and the journalist community has always played a key role in keeping the people united and well-informed.
Former president Press Club UK Fayaz Ghafoor said Press Club was the only organization of British Asians who held elections every year.
Deputy Mayor High Wycombe Abdullah Hashmi also addressed on the occasion.

Former mayor Ch Allah Ditta, secretary Muslim League-N legal wing Ansar Ch, Peter Braki, social and political personality Ch Abdul Aziz, Takbeer TV’s Sheraz Khan, Kashmir Link’s Akram Abid, Noor TV’s Liaquat Hussain Raja, Awaz Radio’s Azhar Hussain, RK Radio’s Roki Khah, Daily Ausaf’s Jahanzeb Saifi, Chairman Karwan-e-Fikr Shakir Qureshi, former councilor Afzal Akram, PTI leader Roomi Malik and others attended the functions.
