Lahore: Pakistan Press Club UK delegation led by its President Mobeen Chaudhry along with eight members of the body visited Lahore Press Club during their official visit to Pakistan and AJK.
President Lahore Press Club Muhammad Shahbaz Mian, Vice President Abdul Majeed Sajid, Secretary Shadab Riaz, Joint Secretary Zahid Gogi, Treasurer Zaheer Ahmad Babar along with senior Journalists Moin Azhar, Raja Riaz, Shafiq Awan, Gohar Butt and members of the governing body welcomed the honourable guests. Office-bearers of both clubs exchanged views of mutual interest.
Speaking on the occasion, LPC President Muhammad Shahbaz Mian underlined the need to strengthen relations between the two journalist fraternities. He said the ties would get strength with the passage of time.
The LPC president and President Pakistan Press Club Uk Mobeen Chaudhry declared both clubs twin clubs, besides signing a memorandum of understanding.
The visiting delegation from PPCUK comprised its President Mobeen Chaudhry, Senior Vice President Arshad Rachyal, Joint Secretary Majid Nazir, Finance Secretary Akram Abid, Information Secretary Musarrat Iqbal, members governing body Imran Khalid, Fareed Qureshi and Naqsh Mushtaq.
The PPCUK president said that it was need of the hour that contacts among journalists from both the countries must grow and they should keep visiting each other.
“While making bonds with LPC stronger, we will provide every possible help to impart professional training to journalists of the LPC. We will also keep working for their welfare,” said Mobeen Chaudhry.
LPC President Shahbaz Mian briefed the guests about the ongoing activities in the Club and the facilities being provided to its members.
On the occasion, it was announced that PPCUK UK will extend every possible help to deserving journalists of the LPC on permanent basis.
The LPC president, at the end, presented a letter of thanks and honorary membership card to PPC UK President Mobeen Chaudhry.
